Crime Stoppers of Houston is a community-based organization dedicated to solving and preventing serious crime in partnership with citizens, media, law enforcement, and the criminal justice system in the greater Houston area. It was started in 1976 in Albuquerque, NM, then brought to Houston in 1981 by members of The Exchange Club of Houston. It quickly grew into a world leader in helping law enforcement solve felony crimes.
